Abridged (WIP)
- Mugwort and Wyatt gain their senses back after being thrown into the cell
- Gribbles heals Wyatt’s back from the chain lashes
- Mugwort miscalls Wyatt william
- Gribbles yaps on about how hes been in The Shacklehold for between 4 and 6 years
- Mugwort and Wyatt tell eachother about how they ended up in the cell
- gribbles keeps calling wyatt william
- 3 days pass of them all getting to know eachother and gribbles yapping
- gribbles decides they are “worthy”
- shows them his crude lockpick
- explains that the strong members of the shacklehold are out on an escort mission in about a week, so they can try to escape then
- another week passes
- gribbles unlocks the cell while guards are not looking
- just as they step out of the cell a guard turns the corner
- gribbles disarms the guard of his club and chucks it to wyatt
- mugwort one taps the guard with ray of sickness
- even the prisoners look at him like what the fuck
- mugwort and wyatt loot the guard taking money and a dagger
- wyatt takes the dagger and gives the club to mug
- gribbles suggests going and finding their gear
- says it’ll either be in the vault or in the master’s quarters
- they decide to go to the vault first
- on their way deeper and deeper into the shacklehold, they hear monstrous groans getting louder and louder from the depths
- gribbles yaps on
- when they get to the vault, their stuff isn’t there
- however they find some money, and wyatt finds a purple hockey puck like gemstone with a glowing rune on it
- mugwort tastes and gargles the gem, finding that its earthy and sweet and tingly
- gribbles keeps yapping and yapping
- they decide to go check the masters quarters for their gear
- monsterous groans get quieter as they ascend again
- they get to the master’s quarters, gribbles goes to unlock the door
- due to his yapping two guards show up
- gribbles hits them with a glue trap before they can do anything, asks wyatt and mug to cover him while he unlocks the door
- wyatt charges one of the guards with a dagger, badly slicing his arm, before plunging the dagger into his throat and killing him, before stepping back
- the other guard manages to break free of the glue trap, charging wyatt
- wyatt narrowly manages to parry his overhead swing with a club
- mugwort charges the guard on all fours with the club in his mouth
- he swipes at the guards ankles but the guard somehow manages to parry the attack
- gribbles finally unlocks the master’s quarters door and runs inside,
- finds one of wyatt’s pistols on the desk and throws it to him through the door
- wyatt catches the gun, twirling it on his finger, before laying off a trickshot
- he shoots the guards club, ricocheting off the head and hitting him through the eye
- the guard falls back and dies in the puddle of blood from the other guard
- mugwort takes all the clubs, and they go into the master’s quarters to find their gear
- to stop gribbles yapping, they decide to stuff his mouth with their socks which he doesn’t like
- mug sniffs the floor to see if he can find any trap doors or crawl spaces, but he ends up getting a nose full of dust instead, making him cough
- wyatt finds his other gun in one of the desk drawers, albeit crushed
- apologises to gribbles, who then casts mend on his pistol, taking a lot out of him
- after regaining his senses, mug finds his pile of stuff in a corner
- as they are leaving the master’s quarters, gribbles sees a scroll on the desk that might be useful
- it’s a buyer’s ledger of the slaves
- gribbles takes it, and they leave, he states that they don’t have time now, but they’ll come back eventually and free the slaves.
- they make their way out of the shacklehold and into the Highvale Manor courtyard, hearing one last groan from whatever is deep below
- as they get to the courtyard they meet a big brute blocking their entrance
- brute speaks in gibberish saying gobby no go ahhhr me gobbo
- gribbles thinks he’s speaking to him
- wyatt shoots the brute with his pistol, hitting him square on in the chests, he takes the bullet stepping back with one foot, blood pouring from the hole. wyatt shoots a second shot tearing a gash in his shoulder
- mugwort tries to fire off a ray of sickness, however grazes gribbles ear and misses before moving around the fountain
- the brute picks up a stone slate tile and throws it like a discuss at wyatt, who narrowly ducks underneath it
- the brute moves towards mugwort
- gribbles moves a bit back and casts dizzy headache, but the brute shakes it off
- wyatt moves to be infront of gribbles before firing off another shot, hitting the brute again in the chest
- mugwort throws a club at the brute, who deflects it with his arms, before skirting around the back of the brute
- gribbles casts another dizzy headache, this time connecting and disorienting the brute
- the brute charges at wyatt, however due to the dizzy headache wyatt is able to dodge his double fist overhead slam
- wyatt fires off a quickshot to the brutes leg
- gribbles casts another dizzy headache, again confusing the brute
- the brute shakes it off, and throws down another double fist slam on wyatt, this time connecting
- mugwort fires off a final ray of sickness hitting the brute in the back of the head, causing him to projectile vomit everywhere
- gribbles dives and pushes wyatt out of the way, only to get covered from the waste down in vomit
- mugwort harvests some flesh from the brutes body with his cleaver, storing it in one of the brutes glove.
- wyatt finds a health potion on his body,
- mugwort finds a and tastes a sooty rock in a mouse hole type space
- gribbles urges them to leave quickly so they do.
- as they run out of the courtyard gate and onto the bridge, a rain of arrows falls on them
- gribbles gets pierced through the chest with a large arrow, falling to his knees
- mug and wyatt quickly turn back for the scroll
- gribbles leaves it to them to come back and free the slaves
- mug and wyatt run into the forest
- as they look back they see gribbles smiling
- gribbles fades into gold dust and blows away in the wind, the arrow dropping from what was once his body
- mug and wyatt hear one last more serious voice, no longer gribbles’ voice, saying “im counting on you”, before leaving highvale manor and the shacklehold behind
